COFFEE (kaw fee) noun – From the Latin: Cough (which is what you do first thing in the morning after waking up, before having coffee) and Eee! (which is the first sound out of your mouth in the morning because you haven’t had your coffee yet). I had to research this myself – I had no idea the word, coffee, was so ancient, going back thousands of years.
I know what you’re thinking – he’s going to start making jokes about how he likes his coffee like he likes his women: Strong and bitter, sweet and smelling good, nice and hot. But no, I’m not going to do that this time. Or am I?
Actually, I’m going to share the different ways to make an excellent cup of coffee. Of course, there’s the drip coffee maker. Not bad and fairly idiot proof. It took me only six minutes to figure out the coffee maker needed to be plugged in. But after that, it was a breeze. Then, there’s the French Press. Also, not bad and at least the French are good for something. Am I right? That was a rhetorical question, I’m right. Then there’s my favorite – The Toddy coffee maker, where the coffee is brewed cold, leaving all the bitterness behind. Who doesn’t want to leave all the bitterness behind, right? That was another rhetorical question (in case you didn’t know). You can read all about the Toddy coffee maker and Careless Coffee at Dudley’s website. I am a huge fan of Katz Coffee. If you haven’t tried it – you simply must! Good stuff!
And before you decide the Careless Coffee Blog was just highly entertaining and humorous (which of course it is), think about this. Coffee may be helpful preventing many diseases. That’s right, the likes of: Breast Cancer, Depression, Diabetes, Colon cancer, Endometrial cancer, Oral cancer, Skin cancer, Alzheimer’s, Prostrate cancer, Liver cancer, and even Bad Breath. Okay, I threw in the bad breath thing – but you never know. So drink up!
