Meet Scout. She was rescued from a local kill shelter. When she was rescued, she had a bad cough with spaghetti like mucus running from her nose. If that wasn’t enough, she began to have tremors. When this was reported to the shelter, they said to bring her back, they’ll put her down, and a new one would be given free of charge.
Needless to say, that never happened. Scout was given a few more weeks to get better – and she gradually did. She went on to have a wonderful, fun, productive life. Rescues just need to be given a chance and they will flourish just as any rescued or purchased dog will.
